More About The Sunday Service
For comedy lovers in Vancouver the Sunday Service is a weekly ritual. The award winning troupe—consisting of Taz VanRassel, Ryan Beil, Emmett Hall, Aaron Read, and Caitlin Howden—has been a staple of Vancouver's thriving comedy scene for nearly a decade. Since its inception, the group has built a devoted local following, received national acclaim at the Canadian Comedy awards, and even had November 18, 2011 proclaimed Sunday Service Day by Mayor Gregor Robertson.
Devotees of the Sunday Service have come to love their sidesplitting 2-hour-long performance and have made it Vancouver’s longest-running independent improv comedy show. Broken up into to two halves of quick-witted, absurd, and hilarious performances, the weekly show features a mix of classic short form games and long form improv all delightfully accompanied by musical director Emmett Hall's piano score and a healthy dose of audience participation. In addition to that, comedy enthusiasts are frequently treated to surprise weekly guests who've popped by to try out new material.

About The Fox
The Fox was a fixture in Mount Pleasant and the last 35mm porno theatre in North America. The VCR decimated adult movie theatres, but the Fox was a stubborn and sleazy holdout. The Fox played original XXX prints of adult film favourites like Behind the Green Door, Debbie Does Dallas and hosted the Canadian premiere of the cult classic Deep Throat. In 2013, the Arrival Agency began transforming the space into a venue for arts, culture, and entertainment in East Vancouver.
