Ian Kirkconnell will teach an intermediate "Options! Options! Options!" WCS workshop. Ian is a long-time Vancouver instructor who teaches ballroom, Latin and swing. Ian is known for great energy and a unique interactive teaching style. He constantly strives to improve his dance and bring to his students all the joy of dance he has known. You can see Ian competing, teaching, judging or being the master of ceremonies at the dance conventions throughout the west. Ian is a long-time member, and past President, of the BC Swing Dance Club.

Michael and Amy Shibasaki will be teaching the free beginnger class. Their story began in 2008 when they met at a west coast swing dance and decided to become practice partners to improve their dancing. Along the way, Michael and Amy fell in love and got married. Now they want to share our love of the dance with you – by offering you a friendly, relaxed learning environment to get you comfortable enough to have lots of fun on the dance floor. Both currently compete several times a year (at Advanced and Intermediate level) and continuously look to upgrade and hone their teaching and dance skills.

In addtion to our usual beginner and intermediate lessons at 8:00, Michael and Amy will be teaching a special workshop at 7:00: WCS Flashmob 2017 Choreography. The 4th annual International Flashmob WCS will be performed in September so take advantage of this special workshop to be among the first learn the choreography! For this lesson, as usual, you do not need to have a partner. If you choose to participate in the performance in September you would need a partner by that time.

Dancing from : 9 - midnight
