Swing Time!

Swing Time is a continuation and celebration of the music and dance that resulted in America during the Jazz Age and the Swing Era.

It's a time you'll see and join in with couples Swing Dancing the classic styles that incorporate elements of the Charleston, Lindy Hop, Balboa, Shag, Peabody, and perhaps even the once outlawed Turkey Trot.

You'll hear the music that was first heard at the turn of the century in jazz clubs, riverboats, ballrooms, brothels, vaudeville, cabarets and speakeasies. And now, with Prohibition no longer an obstacle, adults can enjoy the array of craft brews made on site and/or a classy cocktail.

We can now look back on the day when the Crystal Ballroom, originally built as Cotillion Hall in 1914, was shut down in the early 1920's because of the persecution of jazz and dance with a sigh of disbelief. And now we can now continue forward using the world famous floating dance floor for the type of classic American dance party it was built for.
