Join us! This annual fun and challenging event is a fundraiser for Movember Canada and the Vancouver Island Prostate Centre, and a great way for teams to participate in some crisp-weather-racing in protected waters that combine full crew changes, prizes, plenty of food and a good cause. Come one, come all. Gather your crews and register soon (limited spaces are filling quickly).
Race Format
Short Course 12km (4 x 3km laps)
Long Course 24km (8 x 3km laps)
Crews will be comprised of mixed gender crews
3 women must be in the crew at all times
Crews will be released at 30 second intervals at the start
Course will be described at the steering meeting
Full crew changes will occur on each lap
Dock attendants will be at each loading station to direct canoe traffic / loading
ALL PADDLERS MUST SPORT SOME TYPE OF MUSTACHIO
PFD’S MUST BE WORN DURING THE RACE
Results will be based on total accumulated time
