Party: FESA Career Night

Tired of people asking you what you're going to do with your degree? Love the humanities but aren't sure how to apply them to a career? Need to network but hate the pressure of big job fairs?

Join the Folklore and Ethnomusicology Student Association for Career Night to discuss how an undergraduate degree can transform into a fulfilling career - whether you want to work in a museum, at a record label, go to graduate school, or just want to know how your knowledge and skills will be applicable in life. It will feature four local IU alumni.

The event will be on Wednesday, April 13th from 7-9 pm in the Dogwood Room of the IMU. Students of all majors and grades are welcome.

The following IU graduates will be speaking about their experiences, followed with an informal Q&A session:

Emily Coleman, BA 2013 (double major Anthropology, minor in Spanish): currently in MA Program in Museum Studies at IUPUI, also working as Gallery Programming Specialist at the Indiana State Museum in Indy

Jessica Berndt, BA 2010 (double major Art History): currently in Bloomington as Executive Assistant in the Secretly Group (local music publishing company)

Jack Kovaleski, BA 2015 (minor in Gender Studies): currently Senior Information Assistant at the Monroe County Public Library

Doug Peach: graduated with a Masters degree from IU, worked for the South Carolina Arts Commission, and is currently back at IU for graduate school
