This workshop is going to taught by the awesome Kibble, who will be consolidating all the solo steps taught in class and then focusing on the trickier partnered aspect of the routine.
WHAT IS THE BIG APPLE?
The Big Apple is the routine choreographed by Frankie Manning for the Whitey's Lindy Hoppers (Frankie, Norma Miller, Al Minns, Leon James, etc). You can see them perform in the 1938 movie "Keep Punchin." The Big Apple contains those early jazz moves that are the back bone to Lindy Hop. Once you learn these jazz moves not only can you join in on the Big Apple routine when it's done at dances, camps, jams, etc but you can also add those jazz movements into your Lindy Hop to spice up your footwork and social dancing.
