THE BARBERSHOP:
A queer electronic ball to desymbolize and play with hair especially dedicated to transbears, cis-bears, chub women and hair fanatics of all sorts.
✄ Hair always defined gender in human history; beards and short hair as masculine, long hair and smooth faces as feminine. The biggest social and cultural revolutions appeared through new symbolizations of hair. Women were shaving their hair to refuse the power of men and men were growing hair as the feminine countercultural refusal of patriarchal societies. Last but not least growing beards happens to be the contemporary queer phenomenon to desymbolize masculine identities.
✄ Hair are like sounds, they shape social relationships. Mixing hair is playing then with identities to let social norms fall through a body politic of dance, touch and smell.
✄ This is why you are invited to our special BARBERSHOP which is going to shape your emotions and representations through the best party cut. An intimate ball where to alterate, queer and play with hair, especially dedicated to transbears, cis-bears, chub women and men, beard fanatics, legs and armpit hair lovers, urban sailors, and all the creatures in between and beyond.
✄ Mix your hair and dance your genders out of your happy face every second thursday of the month in future chants within the "Elektronisches Donnerstag" frame of the new Neukölln heart: SchwuZ. Have a saturday taste of The Barbershop this time at Proxi Club!
WIKIMIXXX:
Wikimixxx's intention is raising awareness & stand for democracy. Fight against Oligarchy. Starting by Steev Lemercier, us & those who fight for us, for our privacy, our transparency & our rights through a wide open musical discovery ride. NO RULES, NO BORDERS is the only rules!
The world out there offers such a large panel of excellent (non main-stream) music we do not even try to bring-in more in Berlin ... It is time to learn how to share! Including all of us. All the new kids and tribes moving in the last decade. Embrace diversity...
Wikimixxx group is opening today as a platform where you can share ideas, music & documentary's to raise awareness.
Friends, whistleblowers, leakers, lovers, Hacktivists, you are more than welcome to: EXPRESS YOURSELF freely here and, if in 10 years such group topics is considered "outlaw" by mass surveillance dictature, we'll take the responsibility of our actions cause, they are honest!
SICK GIRLS:
When the Sick Girls started to spin their favorite tracks in clubs back in 2004 Berlin was still all about Techno. A change was overdue and the girls found themselves right in the center of it. Grime, Dubstep, Bass; The new sound from the UK underground combined with Gangsta Rap, B-more and Digi-Dancehall was ringing in their ears; Playing for the heck of it proved to be a welcome change from the Berlin Techno monopoly, providing the girls with a platform to showcase all varieties of bass heavy music.
