Blending elements of folk, bluegrass, classical, and rock, The Dead South is known for high-energy live shows and for pushing the boundaries of what is possible for acoustic instruments. The band features Nate Hilts’ gritty vocals and aggressive guitar strumming, Scott Pringle’s soaring harmonies and mandolin chops, Colton Crawford’s blazing banjo licks and steady kick drum, and Danny Kenyon’s prominent cello melodies. Now based in the Kootenays, Saskatoon-born singer-songwriter Steph Cameron makes her Bassment debut with an opening set.
