The legendary comedy club runs it’s final ever shows in York this coming Friday and Saturday nights in the stunning 1920’s Speigeltent, The White Rose Rotunda, as part of this year’s Great Yorkshire Fringe taking place in the very heart of York
Headlining Friday’s show is BETHANY BLACK, recently seen in ‘Dr Who’ and Channel 4’s ‘Cucumber’. Her debut solos show ‘Beth Becomes Her’ was nominated for Best Debut at the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2008, eventually losing out to Sarah Millican. Over the course of her career she has performed alongside some of the biggest names in comedy including Allan Carr, Sarah Millican, Tim Minchin and Rhys Darby. Last year she starred in Russell T Davies multi channel shows ‘CUCUMBER’, ‘BANANA’ and ‘TOFU’ receiving huge critical praise for her acting.
DAVE HADINGHAM is the show's opening act. This year he celebrates twenty years as a highly-regarded regular on the nationwide comedy circuit, keeping audiences hooked right up to the last punchline as he presents his unique and often warped view of everyday life. This gravel-voiced comic combines supremely controlled delivery with inimitable facial contortions as he cracks some of the best handmade gags in the business.
"ranting and raving comic genius" - The Guardian
ANDRE VINCENT returns for one last time to compere the evening in his own inimitable style. A firm favourite with the York audiences, he comes to us fresh from a run of his ‘Early Edition’ shows alongside Marcus Brigstocke at London’s ‘Just For Laughs’ festival.
