Opposite Box
Opposite Box is a genre-bending experimental rock band from Chattanooga, TN known for high energy live shows and a seamless blend of jazz, rock, funk, punk and prog – dubbed “belligerent jungle funk” – that is often compared to acts like Frank Zappa, Mr. Bungle and Parliament Funkadelic.
Opposite Box presents theatrical live performances with a funky-acid-pirate-circus atmosphere that can include dazzling light shows, over-the-rail and off-the-stage interaction from stage performers that involves the audience and a spectacular cast of characters that features belly dancers, fire eaters, hula hoop dancers, guest musicians and more.
Performing extensively across the eastern United States, Opposite Box has shared the stage with various national headliners, such as Mike Dillon, Fishbone, Nappy Roots, That Handsome Devil, The Protomen, Lionize, Pimps of Joytime and Downtown Brown, across several of the nation’s most respected venues, including 1904 Music Hall in Jacksonville, FL; The Delancey in New York City; Legendary Dobb’s in Philadelphia, PA; JJ’s Bohemia in Chattanooga, TN; The End in Nashville, TN and The Hot Spot in Waynesboro, VA.

Gang of Thieves
High energy and a good time is the hallmark of Burlington, Vermont’s Gang of Thieves. Nominated for “2013 Rock Act of the Year” by the New England Music Awards, Gang of Thieves cook up a stew of influences ranging from Red Hot Chili Peppers and Sublime to Rage Against the Machine and Led Zeppelin.
These Green Mountain funk-rockers have won over diverse audiences coast-to-coast, hitting the stage for the Vans Warped Tour on the one hand, and playing with monster Jam sensation Twiddle on the other. The key to this universal appeal is the infectious sense of fun and showmanship, delivered with a hint of spiritual and political awareness, without any preachy self-righteousness. The penchant for funky grooves that anchor the band’s original songs can be heard in their new EP “Mantra”, the followup to their highly praised “Thunderfunk” album recorded in Berkeley, CA with Grammy award winning producer Michael Rosen (Santana, Rancid, Less Than Jake).
