R. Ring (feat. Kelley Deal), 1939 ensemble, SPURS
R. Ring is the new, bare-bones recording project of Breeders guitarist/pro-knitter Kelley Deal along with guitarist Mike Montgomery of Kentucky band Ampline. (Last year Deal described the endeavor as her means of keeping busy while "Kim [Deal] is real busy doing stuff with the Pixies.") Check out the stripped-down A-side from their debut 7" single, "Fallout & Fire" b/w "See", due October 30 via Misra Records.
Misra Records released their debut 7” – “Fallout & Fire” b/w “SEE.” Characterized primarily by voices, guitars and keys, R. Ring is sparse, chaotic, abrasive and lulling, often within the same song.
