Les Misérables is the 2012 film adaption of the stage musical based on Victor Hugo's classic novel.
Jean Valjean, is released from prison and breaks parole to create a new life for himself while evading the grip of the persistent Inspector Javert. Set in early 19th-century France, the story reaches resolution against the background of the June Uprising of 1832.
Starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried this film won three Golden Globe Awards
Film Club members free. Non-members pay a £2.50 nightly membership fee at the door. Doors open at 8.00pm.
