Pianiste, chanteuse et auteure, Laila Biali a tourné avec Chris Botti, Paula Cole, Suzanne Vega et Sting. Acclamée par la critique, reconnue comme l'une des meilleures musiciennes jazz au Canada, son nouvel album, "House of Many Rooms", montre un côté plus pop, plein de clins d'oeil accrocheurs, de douces mélodies et d'arrangements lyriques.
Pour ce concert de lancement, Laila est accompagnée d'un ensemble exceptionnel : Kate Bevan-Baker (violon, voix), Christopher Cargnello (guitare, voix), Chris Tarry (basse) et Ben Wittman (batterie).
Award-winning pianist, vocalist and songwriter, Laila Biali, has toured with Chris Botti, Paula Cole, Suzanne Vega, and Sting. Critically acclaimed as one of Canada’s finest jazz musicians, her new album – House of Many Rooms – sees the Brooklyn-based artist venturing into a more pop-oriented sound, full of catchy hooks, sweet melodies, and anthemic musical arrangements.
For this special album release concert, Laila is backed by a stellar ensemble featuring Kate Bevan-Baker (violin, vocals), Christopher Cargnello (guitar, vocals), Chris Tarry (electric bass) and Ben Wittman (drums).
