We’re pleased and delighted to welcome a band of true world-class stature to launch our Spring-Summer season at Hidden Rooms.

Well known as one of this country’s leading jazz composers and innovators Tim’s work often explores the territory between jazz and other musical genres. His latest ‘incendiary’ jazz-rock edged album ‘One’ was launched last year to unanimous critical acclaim. It heralds a new chapter in a career that’s already seen him work in close collaboration with luminaries such as Chick Corea and King Crimson’s Bill Bruford.

Since the early 1990’s Tim has toured extensively throughout Europe and latterly worldwide as saxophonist for Chick Corea’s Vigil project. With numerous recordings to his name as well as appearing as sideman, he is one of UK’s prolific performers and a world class instrumentalist. Tonight’s quartet features some of the very best UK players, all at the top of their game. ‘One’ received a rare 5* review form Jazzwise’s Stuart Nicholson so watch out for real jazz excellence on the tiny stage of Hidden Rooms. PS: … and keep a look-out for that special 8-string guitar of Ant Law’s pulling some extra magic out of the hat.

‘…a truly memorable album that’s head and shoulders above any other British jazz recording of the last couple of decades’. Stuart Nicholson - Jazzwise
