Dance Explosion................fun,energetic and exciting dance classes for children age 3+
About me - Sara-Louise Paterson :
I am a fully qualified teacher and judge, member of the BADT also a member of the ADFP, fully insured and i have a full current disclosure.
I danced competitively from the age of 8 through to age 20(ish) my love of dance started at the age of 4 but when I was introduced to competitive freestyle disco and slow dance that was when I really became hooked. I decided from a very young age that I wanted to become a teacher. So after a year out of dance I passed my teachers exam with the BADT in October 2011 with Dance Explosion opening in January 2012 and I haven't looked back since.
I teach children from age 3, both boys and girls.
Every children is different and have different needs and different rates of development so I treat every child as the individual they are. I love seeing the kids I teach grow in confidence through my classes.
About Dance Explosion :
Dance Explosion open in January 2012 with classes in Bridge of Don now I have added a class in Cove as well as doing classes in Tillydrone over the Easter holidays and I will be adding some one off day time classes in the school summer holidays also :)
All my classes are for fun but I will encourage all pupils and parents to try at least one competition either by taking part of just watching so they can see the true competition freestyle and slow dance and not just see how it is from press/TV coverage. Competitions really are amazing and so great for socializing and for the children's confidence.
The pupils past and present at Dance Explosion have been very successful at competitions, finalists and recalls from the very first competition. Lots of winners and finalists from the handful of competitions entered.
Dance Explosion have hosted 2 very successful fundraising events, raising 4 figure sums at both events, A few of the kids performed at the last event and they were fantastic. We also do a weekly bonus ball which means there is always money going in to the dance school funds account. The dance school funds will go towards costs of competitions, travel, accommodation as well as whatever is needed for future events and shows. All parents are welcome to suggest events for fundraising and to give there input :)
