Winner of the Tibetan Music Award for Best Traditional Artist releases his 10th CD followed by richly textured sounds of Toronto-based world music quartet.

A Tibetan in exile, Dorjee Tsering was born in India where he studied dranyen, piwang, flute, and the yang-win as well as Tibetan opera, and dance. Dorjee invites everyone to join him in a beginner Tibetan dance lesson before the concert.

So Long Seven is comprised of Neil Hendry on guitar and mandolin, Tim Postgate on banjo, Ravi Naimpally on tabla and William Lamourex violin and vocals. Influenced by bands such as Punch Brothers, Shakti and Oregon, So Long Seven creates a seamless tapestry of sound, at once spirited and meditative with a blend of composition and improvisation.
