Party: BlackDiamond

Think Australian Rock. Think Newcastle Rock N Roll. Think coal mines, industry and working your hands to the bone for every last cent you have – a blue-collar town where the high rollers reap the rewards. The export of coal is the black diamond that brings money and jobs to the Newcastle and that is how the name BlackDiamond was born.

A five-piece hard rock outfit from Newcastle, with a ‘work hard - play hard’ ethic. These boys are not here to mess around. “That’ll do” just won’t cut it anymore and they have set themselves the task of taking on the world and conquering. BlackDiamond’s goal is to fill venues and party with everyone in the room. Forget the week just been, forget the week to come and live for the few days of freedom the working class get.

Be sure that when you walk into a BlackDiamond show you are going to experience an event, have a few more drinks then you planned and come out on a high, a little bruised and wanting more.

BlackDiamond got together in 2012 and in this short time have ticked more boxes than most acts have even dreamt. Touring extensively across the East Coast of Australia. SA, VIC, NSW, ACT and QLD. From the major cities to the small ‘one horse towns’, BlackDiamond have left no stone unturned.

BlackDiamond’s debut Album has successfully spammed it self across the internet, with the success of their single ‘Devil Woman’, accruing record sales through iTunes and other media outlets, as-well-as consistent streams via Spotify all over the globe (Europe, UK, USA, and Asia). With one of Australian Rock’s most prestigious production teams at the helm of the desk – Mark Opitz and Colin Wynne – you can safely say these boys are well on their way to success. In 2014 they went back into the studio, again with Opitz and Wynne, to record ‘Touch of Love’ – their latest single, which, from the outset smacks you the face with vocals and kicks you in the chest with groove, riffs and hooks. This is all about rock n roll, chicks and cars baby, and it ain’t gonna stop. Their ‘Touch of Love Tour’ has been their most successful and longest tour thus far. Starting in Brisbane heading down the coast to Melbourne, across the bottom of Oz to Adelaide and back through the guts of inland NSW and QLD to finish up at ‘The Big Pineapple Festival’ in May. The ‘Touch of Love Tour’ goes for 13 weeks and is made up of close to 40 shows.
