Jo Meares launched his album ‘King of the Crystal Mountain’ in 2014 at The Vanguard. The night was filmed and recorded and Jo will be returning to the Vanguard to launch a limited edition DVD release of the recording.
Produced by Charles Jenkins ‘King of the Crystal Mountain’ features the guitar work of virtuoso Jeff Lang, sublime harmonica by Reuben Alexander, and haunting piano from Kari Pihl. The lush backing vocals were recorded in an old church in Finland.
Jo Meares’ Vanguard gig will be his first Sydney show after an extensive tour of France, Spain and Finland. Jo will be joined by his full band on the night.
