After selling out the Vanguard on Valentine's Day, Mikelangelo returns with his velvet tones to croon up a storm on Mother's Day.

Intimate, up close and personal, MIkelangelo will step into the red suede shoes of his lurid alter ego Johnny Presley, the Easten Bloc's answer to the King. He will sing stunning stripped back renditions of some of the the very best Elvis love songs and heartbreakers on guitar and piano accordion, and share fabulous tales and ruminations that will have you rolling with laughter between the tears and moments of beauty.

Mikelangelo first debuted The Balkan Elvis to rapturous response with a season at the Famous Spiegeltent as part of the Edinburgh Festival in 2012. He recorded an album of this material at the end of that UK tour, and that album - Live at Ravencraig - will be available for the first time at this show as a limited edition release.

Mikelangelo's love affair with Sydney has been in full swing this year, and Sydney has been giving the love right back, with a sell out season at the Opera House in January, and a queue stretching down the street for his Valentine's show with us.
