The Bite (formerly known as The Great Bite / Back Bite) is one of Wollongong’s icons – being one of the premiere cover bands and entertainers for over two decades. The Bite are one of Wollongong’s longest serving and hardest working rock bands.

The band originated in Wollongong over 20 years ago – and as per our slogan “20 Years On. Still Going Strong” we boast two of the founding members’ as part of the current line-up, who continually re-invent themselves to maintain their status and to keep their show fresh and entertaining.

OUR EXPERIENCE.
With over 20 years experience performing to live audiences, the band has played at thousands of venues throughout NSW and the ACT, with long-standing residencies at both Shelly Workers and Dapto Leagues Club.

The Bite has played with many of Australia’s biggest acts including: The Choir Boys, Status Quo and Inner Circle to name a few.

Suzie (Vocals) and Tony (Drums / Vocals) are founding members of the Great Bite and demonstrate a wealth of talent, experience and passion that is unrivalled. Clay (guitar) and Greg (Bass) also have nearly 20 years of live experience each.

The band plays a fresh mix of Rock, Retro, Dance & Top 40 tunes with a particular emphasis on Classic rock hits (refer to our song list for more detail).
We endeavour to play the songs as closely to the original version as possible – as this is what the general public want to hear.
