Tadd Dameron a été l'un des compositeurs, arrangeurs et pianistes du 20ème siècle. Dexter Gordon l'appelait "romanticist of the bebop era". Tadd a fait des arrangements pour Count Basie, Artie Shaw, Billy Eckstine et Sarah Vaughan. Sa musique était admirée et jouée par John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Dexter Gordon, Fats Navaro, Sonny Rollins et bien d'autres.

Mike Bruzzese a mis spécialement sur pieds un groupe pour célebrer sa musique et son 100ème anniversaire. Avec Alex Francoeur au Saxophone Ténor, Jonathan Chapman à la Basse et en invité spécial de Toronto, Norbert Botos, à la batterie.

Tadd Dameron was one of the most important composers, arrangers and pianists of the 20th century. Dexter Gordon called him the "romanticist" of the bebop era. Tadd arranged for the likes of Count Basie, Artie Shaw, Billy Eckstine and Sarah Vaughan. His music was admired and played by John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Dexter Gordon, Fats Navaro, Sonny Rollins and many more. Mike Bruzzese has put together a special group to play Dameron's music and celebrate his 100th anniversary. The band will feature Alex Francoeur on Tenor Saxophone, Jonathan Chapman on Bass and a special guest from Toronto, Norbert Botos, on drums.

Mike Bruzzese is currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Jazz Performance at McGill University. In addition Mike has studied privately with Buster Williams and Peter Bernstein.
